Our Story

Hi, I'm Melissa Soucy, author of My Little Meatball. This book is a tribute to my daughter, lovingly nicknamed "My Little Meatball." She is the inspiration behind every page and the reason I set out to capture the joy and comfort of family traditions in a story made for little hands. 

 

I grew up in an Italian-America home, where life often revolved around food, love and laughter. Some of my fondest memories come from working in my grandfather's restaurant and gathering with family on Sunday's for a delicious homemade dinner. Those experiences taught me that the simplest traditions - a shared meal, a warm hug and even a silly nickname can create the best memories.
